Revealed over twenty-three years in Makkah and Madinah, preserved by memorisation and by writing in the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ, and compiled into a single codex under the caliphs Abu Bakr and 'Uthman. Within it the salutation upon the Prophet is not merely permitted but commanded — an exchange in which the Divine sends first, and creation answers.
Inna Allāha wa malā'ikatahu yuṣallūna 'alā an-nabiyy; yā ayyuhā alladhīna āmanū ṣallū 'alayhi wa sallimū taslīmā
Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings upon him and greet him with a worthy greeting.

And We have not sent you except as a mercy to all the worlds.
Mercy
Wa rafa'nā laka dhikrak
And We raised high for you your remembrance.

Wa innaka la'alā khuluqin 'aẓīm
