Composed in Morocco after al-Jazuli, unable to draw water from a well, was aided by a young girl whose light he traced to her constancy in sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ. He withdrew for years to gather the salutations, and the resulting book became a companion of scholars from Fez to Java, copied by hand more than almost any book after the Qur'an.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Allāhumma ṣalli 'alā Muḥammad wa 'alā āli Muḥammad kamā ṣallayta 'alā Ibrāhīm...
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad, the ocean of Your lights, the mine of Your secrets, the tongue of Your proof, the bridegroom of Your kingdom.
